Hi Folks,
Both the intro and conclusion should be BRIEF - maybe 5 or 6 sentences each. Here are some guidelines: 1. Get the reader's attention. Don't worry too much about this - it can be left til last, as it is a very minor point. 2. BRIEFLY preview your main points (i.e. sections) -- keep in mind, you don't need to preview each paragraph, and probably don't need to preview sec 4, as it shows you applying what you learned in the other sections. Also, if you find some of your preview repeats your TS, cut out the preview - don't say anything twice. 3. End with your 1-2 sentence TS.
For the conclusion, work your way backwards... without repeating your wording, needless to say.
